Reduction of working time in the current settlement period!

We would like to remind you that on August 15 we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 2020, the holiday falls on Saturday, which means that employers are required to reduce the working hours by 8 hours. The reduction should take place during the current settlement period and  it cannot be replaced by the payment of an additional remuneration or other compensation to employees.

Importantly, the reduction of working hours is not always linked with the necessity to provide an employee with a day off work. For example, in the case of employees employed under the equivalent system of working time who perform work 12 hours a day, the reduction of working time during the settlement period may be made by way of  reducing working hours on one of the working days.

Should you have any questions, we are at your disposal.
