DLA Piper Gambling and Tax Event before ICE Gaming Conference

Here is the opportunity of getting free gambling and tax law advice from DLA Piper lawyers of the hottest gaming jurisdictions of the moment.

The gambling regulatory and tax regimes are in a constant state of change. Different jurisdictions are entering the world of gaming regulation at different times, adopting different rules and setting up new licensing regimes that create opportunities for operators. Also, on the tax side, the OECD BEPS Actions are being implemented, transparency measures are being introduced, and Brexit is looming, so creating a number of changes never experienced.

At the same time the upcoming EU General Data Protection Regulation triggers considerable compliance obligations for gaming operators and suppliers whose business exponentially relies on data. It all paints a complex picture, whilst Treasuries around the EU are under pressure to raise revenue, protect local land-based casinos and bookmakers and not fall foul of EU law.

Quite literally, a perfect storm for new gambling regulations and tax.
